Origin:

Tokarev was the handgun of the Russian army from 1935 onwards.

The TT30 was chosen in the summer of 1930 after comparative tests with the models proposed by Soviets Korovin and Prilutskiy, and foreign models based on the Browning, Walther, Mauser, Luger systems.
