The M1 carbine .30 caliber, a lightweight semi-automatic shoulder carbine that fired a .30-cal. cartridge ballistically comparable to a .357 mag. handgun cartridge, was a standard military firearm for the U.S. during World War II and then the Korean and Vietnam wars but also widely used by U.S. and foreign military, paramilitary and police forces.

Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corp., a firm largely known as producer of coin-operated jukeboxes, produced just 228.500 of the 6.3221.200 of M1 carbines ever made, so this relative rarity and the exclusive name make the value of Rock-Ola carbines more prized than others.
