Historical references

Origin:

The K31 rifle was designed by simplifying the previous model 1911, starting with the locking system that allowed the shortering of the bolt and the lengthening of the barrel and the sight line, without penalizing the already excellent precision of the 1911 model.

The K31 musket was produced from 1933 to 1958, but remained in service at some Swiss Military Units until the 1980s.

The shafts were made of walnut until 1946, then in beech, a little less heavy and lighter-colored wood.

Rarity:

in spite of the fact that 582,000 K31 carbines were produced, due to the high demand from collectors and sport shooters, it begin to be difficult to find them in optimal conditions.

The Model 1931 barrel is free-floating and the action is only connected to the stock by two screws, one attaching to the chamber, with the second attaching to the rear tang.
