Mauser K98K marked AR 41 cal. 8x57.
This Rifle was made by Mauser Werke A.G. in their Berlin-Borsigwalde factories, then captured by the Russians (the " X " mark on the cartridge chamber is visible) and subsequently refurbished, as usual, by re-bluing and the application of serial numbers on secondary parts with an electric pen.
It bears the AR designation of the production plant, the indication 41 (year of production) and all the classic German inspection marks of K98s.
This specimen has a bent bolt handle and features an internally bright barrel with well-defined rifling.
It comes with a leather sling.
