Smith & Wesson 22-4 Revolver in .45 ACP. Year 1982.
This revolver, with both single and double-action functionality, is part of the Smith & Wesson "Classics" and "Heritage" series. It is a modern reproduction of the famous military M1917 revolver and its successor, the Model 1950 Army.
Chambered for the.45 ACP pistol cartridge, it can also use .45 Auto Rim cartridges, which have a flanged rim base.
The cylinder holds rounds of .45 ACP. Cartridges are loaded and extracted using moon clips (half-moon or full-moon clips).
Built on the large, robust N-frame, this revolver features a tapered barrel, typical of the M1917 model. It has the classic 5.5-inch barrel length.
The finish is a polished blued one and its sights are fixed.
The grip is made of walnut wood (Cocobolo) with the classic S&W logo, which recalls the design of vintage firearms.
It comes with its original hard plastic case.
