Model 1903/38 Ankara K Kale Turkish Mauser Rifle - 8mm cal.
Rifle belonging to the series produced in the period 1940-1946 in the Kirikkale state rifle factory based in Ankara, commonly called the 1938 model to indicate those assembled in Ankara reusing available parts.
In this model, for example, the Z mark reported under the receiver indicates its origin from one of the Vz98/22 rifles supplied to Turkey from Czechoslovakia.
The Turkish Crest on the chamber ring shows:
- T.C. - Turkiye Cumhuriyeti Republic of Turkey
- AS FA - Askari Fabrika Military Factory
- ANK ARA - Ankara Ankara (City)
- K. Kale - Kirikkale Tufek Fabrikast Kirikkale Rifle Factor
- 1942.
The sight system is composed by a blade front sight and a rear adjustable from 100 to 2000 meters military sight.
The bolt is matching the receiver serial number and has a straight handle.
The forend is fixed to the barrel by two bands. The bottom side of the front band contains the bayonet lug.
Metal butt plate with brass screws.
Sling swivels.
The metal finish is very good, about 80% of which remains on metal components.
