Spanish Military FR8 Mauser cal. 7,62x51.

An European collector rack is not complete without a Spanish FR-8 (Fusil Reformado) rifle!

Our carbine is derived from a selected M.1943 from which has kept the K98 Mauser action, and the upgrade of a new German Heckler and Koch barrel in caliber 7.62, equipped with a flash hider and a special elevation-adjustable rotary type rear sight having aperatures for 200, 300 and 400 meters, as well as an open "V" notch for 100m.

The front sight has elevation and windage adjustable via a special tool.

This FR-8 preserves the original Spanish Crest, circled by the name "Fabrica De Armas La Coruña" and the production year 1956 on the cartridge chamber, in addition to the bolt, the trigger system and the magazine capacity, of the model 1943 from which it derives.

Changes were made to the cartridge follower and to the stock, now shorter. Furthermore the metal finish is parkerized. The straight handle bolt has matching serial numbers  to receiver.

Chambered in 7.62x51 the bore is brite with sharp rifling near excellent. Handsome stock and handguard with side sling swivels Import marked on the barrel.
