Over/Under shotgun Beretta mod. S.55, year 1956, 12ga.
Founder of the modern line of over/under rifles of the Pietro Beretta Factory of Gardone Val Trompia, this shotgun, produced in 1956, still shows the elegance of its lines, enhanced by an enviable state of preservation.
Robust and simple hunting rifle, much loved by hunters who especially appreciate its solidity and performance under every condition, it is equipped with a double lock with trapezoidal shoulders and a double conical bolt, that's are the typical locking system of the modern Beretta O/U shotguns.
Equipped with manual ejectors, it mounts two "High Strenght Chromium Molybdenum Steel - S" barrels of 71 cm, in caliber 12/70, with *** / * chokes, surmounted by a ventilated rib ending with a metal round front sight.
The trigger system is the classic double trigger system of which the front one is provided with a forward run to avoid the impact on the finger placed on the rear one when firing.
The walnut stock and fore-end are intact, clean and with checkered grips. The stock is enriched by a semi-rounded pistol grip and a plastic butt plate containing the circular Beretta logo.
The shotgun has a good finish as very good is the external bluing of the metal parts.
The bore is like mirror bright.
