Gardone 1942 - 91/38 Carcano Cavalry Musket cal. 6.5x52.

Made in Gardone Val Trompia in 1942 (year XX of the fascist period), this musket, along with 91/41 rifle, is among the most widely produced rifles by Italian arsenals during the Second World War.

Made in caliber 6,5x52 mm, it is characterized by the sights zeroed at 300 meters, progressive rifling rate and bayonet folded under the barrel, locked by a button placed at the height of the rotation hub.

Weapon in good general and mechanical conditions that begin to be hard to find in the gun market.

Very interesting price.

Historical references

In order to meet the needs of the WW2 conflict, Italy decided to began the production of a cavalry muskets in 6.5 mm caliber, re-adapting barrels with progressive rifling, with variable rate from 390 mm to 195 mm, and using a fixed rear sight set at 300 m.
The push-button release system for the bayonet was definitively adopted.

Weapon that begins to become hard to find because of the difficulty of reintroducing bayonets from foreign countries.
